Client: U.S. Army
Project Title: Global Command and Control System - Army (GCCS-A)
Hardware Environments: IBM
Software Environments: Solaris, Windows NT, Ada, C/C++, PowerBuilder, INFORMIX

Project Summary:

The GCCS-A program was a system integration, software integration, reuse, and development effort. MOJA’s role in the project required converting four command and control legacy systems, that were developed in various software languages and databases, to a common platform and database. The new platforms are Solaris and Windows NT, with INFORMIX as the database. The new systems have a client/server architecture operating on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defense Information Infrastructure (DII) Common Operating Environment (COE). The legacy command and control systems were- Army Worldwide Military Command and Control System (WWMCCS) Information System (AWIS), Standard Theater Army Command and Control System (STACCS), Combat Service Support Control System (CSSCS), and Theater Automated Command and Control Information Management System (TACCIMS). The system was developed using CADRE Teamwork structured analysis. PowerBuilder is being used for new development. The program relies on porting of legacy code and software reuse to minimize new development.
