Client: Virginia Department of Taxation/ANSTEC
Project Title: Year 2000 Support for the Commonwealth of Virginia
Hardware/Software Environments: COBOL, IMS, IBM, MVS/ESA

Project Summary:

provides year 2000 rendition to the Department of Taxation. An impact analysis is performed using a combination of skilled resources and a powerful toolkit, we analyze the inventory of program source code, files, databases, JCL embedded date items, sort statements (both internal and external), screen interfaces, copy members, calculations and subroutines. The results of the analysis are detailed reports that clearly define the impact and size of the organization's Year 2000 problem. Changes are made to include modifications to program data definitions and/or process logic, updates to execution job control and creation of data migration programs. Our professional staff develops test plans and conduct unit, systems and integration test for each application portfolio as defined in the Strategy Document. The process involved include construction of the test environment, development of the test data and scripts, and data migration and interface activities. When testing is finalized, migration of converted applications begins, as well as preparation for production turnover.
